Everyone is so focused on fat loss and building abs that they forget they are LOSING muscle mass. Our forum members share nutrition and amp; training tips and supplement ideas to keep that muscle! Everyone knows what the answer is, and it&#8217;s a little frustrating even from my point of view, because no matter how much research you do, you&#8217;re going after a monolithic dogma, in effect. And dogmas protect themselves.</p>

Carbs are actually your body&#8217;s preferred choice of fuel. The trick is to choose healthful complex carbs such as fruits, veggies, and whole grains. </p>
<p>&#13;<br />
Carbohydrates are important, however it&#8217;s the volume of carbohydrates that are the most important. When people are on the first phase here at the Rice House, the total calories are low. Carbohydrates include all substances which end in -ol or -ose. The diet is often very sensitive to even small amounts of these carbohydrates.</p>
<p>&#13;<br />
Typically, patients embark on an elimination diet under the advice of a doctor, although some people may experiment with such diets on their own to see if they can identify the root causes of their medical problems. </p>

All of the livestock being raised throughout the world produce enormous amounts of manure and urine, which in turn pollute natural resources. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To lose fat and build muscle we need exercises which work the whole body using enough weight to signal to the body that it needs to get stronger and also trains the cardio-vascular systems to get more efficient.</p>
<p>Heavy Squats are well known for being one of the best muscle-builders with a serious a fat-shredding effect. What is even better than the squat is performing a combination movement that has the squat as one of the components. An example is the thruster, either with a barbell, dumbbells or kettlebells. There are many others</p>
<p>The way it works is the more muscles you use in an exercise the more energy is required to do the movement so you burn more fat and get stronger as well.</p>
<p>I will be perfectly honest, these combination exercises suck. They are hard, they may make you feel like you want to puke, and you might, so don&#8217;t go crazy. You have to build your work-capacity over time or suffer the consequences!</p>
<p>So here are my favorite exercises for fat loss and lean muscle gain:</p>
<p>Exercise#1- Swing, Flip and Squat or any Squatting Combination Exercise- Squat Thrust/Burpee Variations, Squat to Overhead Press,  squat thrust to snatch etc.</p>
<p>Exercise#2- The Swing- Kettlebells, Med Balls, or Sandbags</p>
<p>Exercise#3- Any Lunge Combination Exercise- Alternating Lunge and clean to Press, Alternating Lunge plus Twist, etc.</p>
<p>Exercise#4- Any Push-Up Combination Exercise- Push-ups plus Knee-Ins, Push-up Rows, Spiderman Push-ups, Burpees, staggered, walking etc.</p>
<p>Exercise#5- The Chop- Med Balls, Bands, or Sandbags</p>
<p>Exercise#6- Olympic Lifting Variations: Kettlebell Cleans, Snatches, High Pulls and Jerks</p>
<p>Exercise#7- Renegade Rows and combination such as a pushup a Renegade row to a double clean</p>
<p>Exercise#8- 1/2 kneeling overhead press or Windmills for core activation</p>
<p>Exercise#9- Turkish Getups for total body control, ab work, leg work, shoulder stabilization and strength</p>
<p>Exercise#10- one leg deadlift with kettlebell or barbell. Try it with the weight on the same side as the working leg (ipsi-lateral) and with the opposite hand (contra-lateral)</p>
<p>Try these out and add at least on of them to your workout and see how much more effective your training becomes.</p>

<p>I didn&#8217;t have hours and hours of free time to hit the gym each day, nor did I have a big hollywood budget to be able to afford a personal trainer or buy expensive supplements.</p>
<p>But I still wanted that look. I knew how girls looked at guys with shredded six packs and bulging muscles, and I also knew that other guys respected you more if you had a good body.</p>
<p>So I went on a journey to get ripped fast.</p>
<p>I devoured the internet, searching everywhere for information about muscle building and tips for how to get ripped fast.</p>
<p>The advice was always the same: do squats, deadlifts and bench press.</p>
<p>Sure that works to build muscle mass and get bulky looking but I didn&#8217;t want that. I wanted to gain some nice muscle sure, But I wanted to have that super lean, movie star look.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t want to look like a bodybuilder.</p>
<p>After many products bought and a lot of trail and error I came accross a product called &#8220;Visual Impact Muscle Building&#8221; by Rusty Moore. As soon as I started reading his website, I knew I had come to the right place.</p>
<p>Here are some cool tips I learnt from Rusty.</p>
<p>1. Obviously if you want to look lean and cut you have to get down to a low bodyfat percentage. This means that your diet is crucial. He suggests eating lots of protein, like tuna, chicken, lean steak and beef, protein shakes. He also tells you to eat foods like wholemeal bread, oatmeal, brown rice, lentils and peanut butter.</p>
<p>2. In addition to eating right, the way you workout is super important too. Mix up your rep and set schemes often. Sometimes do exercises for 3 sets of 10-12 reps, then after a couple of weeks change and do that same exercise for 5 sets of 5 reps.</p>
<p>This will keep your muscles guessing and allow them to build size and density. In addition, throw in some high intensity interval training 2-3 times per week. High intensity interval training simply means, that instead of running at 75% for 20 minutes you go 100% for 1 minute, then 50% for a minute, then back to 100% and so on for 20 minutes. You can do this on a treadmill, rowing machine, cross trainer.</p>
<p>3. To get that super &#8220;shrink wrap effect&#8221;, you want to start cutting a couple of months before your target. E.g. if summer is coming up in a couple of months, then you want to start cutting now. This is because in order to get that super ripped look, you have to give your skin time to skrink down and stick tight to your body.</p>
<p>Another great tip I learnt from Rusty was that after you cut and have let your skin tighten up, you want to then gain a quick 5-10 pounds of muscle. The best way to do this is by doing high rep and high set training. Eating lot&#8217;s of protein. This will then give you that look of your muscles bulging out of your skin. This makes you look fantastic!</p>
<p>After training on the &#8220;Visual Impact Muscle Building&#8221; for a couple of months, I totally transformed my body. From looking just like every other guy, I now stand out on the beach.</p>
<p>Girls actually come up to me and ask to touch my abs! It&#8217;s crazy.</p>
<p>The confidence I gained from looking great was incredible.</p>
<p>Overall I lost 12 pounds of fat, 3.5 inches just from my waist and went from 16% body fat to a super trim 9% in less than 3 months. My biceps and chest aren&#8217;t huge like a bodybuilder but they are dense and have cuts in the right places. And this is what matters to me and the ladies!</p>

<p>Contrary to popular belief, losing weight is not a matter of eating less food, it&#8217;s a matter of eating less food at one sitting so you can eat more times throughout the day.</p>
<p>If you knew you were going to get $5,000 a day for the rest of your life&#8230; guaranteed&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;what would you do?</p>
<p>You would have no problem spending some money!</p>
<p>Your body is no different. If it knows it is going to get fed six meals a day it has no reason to store anything. It will simply eliminate any excess food you consume and in the process it will burn off the excess fat you have stored! I mean&#8230; who needs food stores when your consistently eating 5 to 6 meals a day?</p>
<p>Your daily eating pattern should resemble the following&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8211; Breakfast</p>
<p>&#8211; Snack</p>
<p>&#8211; Lunch</p>
<p>&#8211; Snack</p>
<p>&#8211; Dinner</p>
<p>&#8211; Snack</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to spread these meals out evenly&#8230; about three hours between each.</p>
<p>For example, eat breakfast as soon as you rise, wait three hours, then have a snack.</p>
<p>Most people have fallen into the old three square meals a day routine. This is simply an eating pattern handed down to us by our parents&#8230; who&#8217;s parents handed it down to them&#8230; and so on.</p>
<p>It stems from the invention of your favorite thing&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;the old nine to five!</p>
<p>Think about it&#8230; you eat breakfast, go to work where you get one lunch break, and come home and eat dinner. This eating pattern is perfectly designed for the eight hour work day.</p>
<p>Those who cling tightly to this &#8220;old-school&#8221; eating pattern simply can&#8217;t fathom that eating more often will actually cause them to lose weight.</p>
<p>But this is exactly what&#8230;</p>
